Sonnenland A5 130B
Sonnenland A5 130B in Kieselbeige. Patterned, cut, fitted and finished by hand for Arden Green.
Color, cloth and craftsmanship. Developed around you.
Paint, leather and cloth, side by side. We compare the samples in changing light before agreeing the finish.
Roofline, seams and fittings are drawn and checked against the proportions of the vehicle.
Grain, perforation, piping and edge finishes. Our upholstery is developed through samples and patterns, then cut and fitted by hand.
Canvas, mohair or reclaimed cloth. Each soft top is patterned and made for the vehicle.
Nappa leather, British wool and canvas, chosen through physical samples. We work with William Bliss, Fox Brothers & Co. Ltd and Abraham Moon, alongside other selected textile houses. Cotswolds Country Tweed is among the cloths we return to. We compare the materials with you before developing the upholstery.
We study how cloth sits beside leather, how a grain catches the light and how a color changes against painted metal. Patterns, seams, piping and edges are worked through on the vehicle. The finish has to hold together in daily use as well as in a photograph.
A handmade main soft top and a second in waxed cloth, mohair or reclaimed patchwork. The pattern and construction are developed for the same vehicle, with a different material.

Arden Green’s additional soft top is handmade in waxed cloth, inspired by Barbour outerwear. The pattern, seams and fastenings are developed for the vehicle.
Mohair is also available for an individually made soft top.
Reclaimed fabrics, joined by hand and made into a waxed patchwork soft top. Differences in shade and wear remain visible. Harris Tweed herringbone offers another starting point, with its own weave and texture.
An unusual cloth or a detail from an earlier vehicle can become part of the brief. We test it through samples, patterns and fitting, developing the construction as closely as the appearance.
The Atelier gives us room to try ideas beyond familiar finishes. Fit, function and durability guide the work as it takes shape.
Body, roof, wheels and interior are developed together. We compare paint and material samples in changing light, then adjust the colors and accents on the vehicle.
Seat panels, piping, roof tension and edge finishes are worked through in the workshop. Our craftspeople cut, join and fit the materials by hand, adjusting the pattern where necessary.
Period instruments, worn surfaces and reclaimed cloth can remain part of the design. We agree what to preserve and what to renew, with the original Land Rover construction as our reference.
Instrument faces, finishes and proportions, developed through design studies. We work through the details you see and use each time you drive.
Metalworkers, mechanics and upholsterers work alongside the design. Samples, drawings and fittings are checked on the vehicle throughout the restoration.
